A web page consists mostly on information (text only or multimedia modules) as well as hyperlinks that may also contain style data and embedded applications to make it interactive.
Web pages are written in a markup language that provides the ability to handle and insert hyperlinks. It is called HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). As you know, a website is based on the hyperlinks and because of that, here you have a definition: a hyperlink is an element of an electronic document that refers to another resource. In other words, it is a connection from one page to another destination such as another page or a different location on the same page.

The page content can be predetermined ("static website") or generated at the view, or request it from a web server ("dynamic web page"). Dynamic pages are generated when the display is done through scripting languages, usually JavaScript, and the application responsible for displaying the content is to be generated.
